Born On The Earth -
Born On the Earth
Words&Music by Tokiko Kato
Before we are born on the earth
We are embraced by the sea
In our mother warm
Peaceful calm and free
Be the place the harshest desert dry
Be the place a battlefield a-rage
But once we are born on the earth
As children we begin to walk
With our own destiny
Hand in hand with our fate
Be the country lying all a-ruin
Be the country joyous flowers a-bloom
The sun rises and sets
Bringing tomorrow to all living things
From far across the sky
Gift of fresh hope to all
Be the stars a shining bright and pure
Be the darkness pressing all around
Once upon a time we were born
On a boundless garden of earth
People’s lives were blessed
Peaceful calm and free
I call upon the mountains, sky and sea
Open up to me your story of time retall
